Gutter cleaning is the most seasonal service in exterior cleaning and the most naturally recurring. Both of those facts are opportunities, and most operators capture neither. The phone rings for eight weeks in autumn, the crew works flat out, and then the list goes quiet until next year.
When all your demand lands in one window, you are capacity limited during it and revenue starved outside it. The fix is not more autumn ads. It is capturing the autumn list properly, then reaching back out on a schedule so the same customers book a spring clean and a maintenance plan rather than waiting for next October.
In most markets a spring gutter clean is genuinely useful, and in pine or conifer regions it is essential. Almost nobody offers it, because nobody remembers to ask. An automated message in March to every customer from the previous October is close to free revenue and it flattens the worst part of the seasonal curve.
A slow site with one page trying to cover every service is the most expensive thing on this list, because it quietly loses the traffic everything else works to earn. A remodel is usually the first thing we fix.
Capture the autumn customers properly and message them again in spring. In most markets a spring clean is genuinely justified, and the list you already have will book it without any ad spend.
September. By the time the leaves are down everyone is bidding and the costs have climbed. Building the list before the rush is cheaper and it means you start the season with a calendar rather than a phone.
Whatever the crew can see from the roofline. Roof algae, fascia washing and gutter brightening are all visible from where they already are, and offering them on site converts far better than a follow up call.
